Cum not updating web / data files if external sensor removed

OK. I realise this is a highly unusual circumstance. The external sensor unit of my Davis Vantage Vue has had to be sent away to be serviced because of a fault with the humidity sensor.
Would you expect while the Davis console cannot contact the external unit by wireless, that Cumulus would stop updating its data files (eg Sep14log) and the web site and graphs? Initially everything was OK because Cumulus was left running after the external unit was removed. Cumulus continued to display the most recent valid readings for external temp. humidity etc. But ever since I rebooted my PC this morning for a Windows update (and hence stopped and restarted Cumulus) the View | Graphs page has been frozen, the web site has not been updated and the txt files have not been updated. If I manually stop and restart Cumulus, it successfully reads half-hourly results from the Davis logger, so it's not as if all comms from the console to Cumulus have failed. Cumulus continues to update the "last data read" time every second in the bottom right hand corner. There are no errors being flagged in the Status | Error panel on Cumulus.
I'm not expecting miracles, but it would nice if Cumulus would at least carry on logging data which is still available from the console - pressure and internal temperature/pressure.
