UV Sensor - Vantage Pro 2 - Quick questions please

Hi,

I am installing a UV Sensor to my Pro 2 tomorrow. 8-)

On my website and Twitter tweets I know I will be able to display the current UV level and how many hours of sun we have had that day by using the web tags #UV and #SunshineHours.

When adding Solar to the Cumulus application display it only shows ET, Solar rad, UV and a Sun button. Is there any way or any plans for it to display Sunshine Hours please?

Also within the Cumulus application, under Station Settings > Solar do I need to modify any of the default settings? Currently they are;

Sun Threshold 75%; Sun min 0 W/m2; Trans factor 0.80 and Use B/L (unticked). I assume some will need leaving alone as for now I am not installing the Solar Radiation Sensor but the UV Sensor but just thought some might need adjusting.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Jon

It displays sunshine hours today as a 'mouseover' on the sun LED. But note that a UV sensor only gives you a UV reading; none of the solar setting apply, and you won't get a sunshine hours figure.

Thanks Steve.

If I also purchased the Solar Radiation Sensor for the Pro 2 it could then calculate sunshine hours based on the radiation data it collects?

Cheers

Yes, the sunshine hours calculation uses solar radiation readings.

Hi Steve,

Is there a web tag to show today's highest UV reading please?

Cheers
