ISP is putting my scripts to the test- speed wise

Post by ace2 »

Our monthly allocation is up and with 4 days to go till roll over, yes I blame the kids!!!

Our connection has been speed throttled, so this will be stressing my little netbook with the line slowing down.
I guess I'll see any issues with anything over lapping with ftp.

Thank goodness for unlimited. I doubt modem speed would cope with all my constant uploading.

Send those kids out to mow your lawns - and the neighbourhoods :)

I wish I could, but girls are not into that!!!!

They managed to use over 50GB between 2 of them on there iPods and tablets plus streaming direct movies online to the TV , plus my wife's Facebook usage...

But on a good note, my 40mb worth of time-lapse videos and everything else uploaded fine on the ultra slow connection, i speed checked it at .13mbps, yes there is a dot in front of that number!

Nah not worth it.
But if my setup starts to fail, I might.....

Well I'm happy to say the only issue related to the slow connect was an oversight by me.
As i switch templates/web sites when uploading.
I had set to upload an offline web page to my site, but I failed to change the the main template, so as with last night, it took over 30 minutes to upload my video and then cumulus uploaded the other/wrong page.

Simple correction.....
