Several times recently, my 1080 has been loosing contact with the outdoor sensor for various short periods of time - but always came back on soon after.

So on Friday I inserted a new set of batteries in the outdoor unit. I then couldn't get it to receive at all after trying to re-pair them. Took the display outside and its batteries died, fitted new ones to that. Got it receiving fine outside near to the outdoor unit, but lost it completely once inside. Spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday repeatedly trying to get it to work once back inside, moving the outdoor unit's orientation and height up and down the pole, then finally gave up late Monday - intending to pull the outdoor unit apart to inspect it a bit more closely.

Late Monday, it locked on solidly and has not lost a single data frame since then - weird! That happened to coincide with the start of some heavy rain.
