Hi,

The LCD touch screen on my WH-1081PC doesn't work for the date-time section of the screen. Touch-screen works for other bits of the screen, but not for date-time.

My question is: How do I change the date-time on the base-station to display current date-time by using PC software ??

I'm not sure you can. You definitely can't do it with Cumulus, but it doesn't look as though easyweather can do it, either. Unless someone else knows...

I wonder if you have a faulty touch screen?

Press the time once to change the Time zone
again to change 12/24 hr format
again to set Daylight saving
again to adjust the actual time


What about Date, can you change/touch that?

Can I use PC software to set the date and time on the base station?

Can I write a utility to do it? Where can I get the protocol/specs ?

I'm not aware of any tool/API for the weather station but I will have a root around the web. It's not the most developed/supported device.

One thing to note -- the station has two times: the console and the transmitter. The transmitter time is automatically set from a radio signal in Germany. In some models the time is also sent to the console from the transmitter within about 5 minutes.

I'm not clear which time Cumulus uses -- if it is the PC or your transmitters time then you will be ok -- just the console that will be wrong. Steve, can you confirm?

Cumulus uses the PC time.

The date is still a big problem with a broken touch screen, but I figured out that I can set the time accurately if I wait until 12:00 noon and insert the batteries....

This of course doesn't do anything about time zone, or fix the broken date function.

Also when you insert the batteries the date on the base station will always reset to 01/01/07

check if a wire is loose or fake the touch with two wires on the right connection(or a moment swiths)
