Hi all
I have a PCE-FWS20 [Fine Offset WH1080]
Since 2 days my website graph "wind direction" shows always "north" as wind direction
LCD display do not show any "line" in wind-rose section, while I would expect a vertical line in N direction
I opened wind vane and put "rotating" magnet sensor near reed switches: as I move rotating vane I can hear reed switches turn on, but windrose display is always "empty"
Buying a new wind direction sensor could solve my problem or could be some trouble regarding thermo-igro transmitter?

Hi,
If the Transmitter reads an "incorrect" resistance value from the Vane, then the Console LCD displays "no pointer" and Cumulus (typically) displays "North". An incorrect resistance includes "Open Circuit", "Short Circuit" (zero ohms) and some resistance values between "good" values.
One possibility is that there is water in the "RJ11" connector which plugs into the "Wind" socket on the Transmitter (water can act as an additional resistance and change the value measured to an incorrect value). Do you have a "multimeter" or similar to test the resistances? If not, I can only suggest that you examine, clean and dry the Wind plug/socket and the cable.
Or, water might have got into the Vane Head, but this is not a common problem. You are not using a cable extension are you?

Using "tester": reed switch are ok->tester beep when I pass over with magnet
At the end of the cable there is RJ11 plug -> tester over external cable does not beep when I pass over with magnet
I checked the whole lenght of the cable and I discovered a little cut: the cut is also on the black external cable and rain made oxyde on the cable
