Month rainfall tally

Hi,
The following incident occurred over a 3 day period and has me intrigued but not concerned. I hope somebody will be able to explain it.

July 9, first rain for the month 2.0mm, monthly tally also reported 2.0mm --- all's well.
July 10, further rain fall of 0.3mm, monthly tally 2.4mm --- not so well (it stayed that way until turn off that night).
July 11, no more rain but upon system turn on the monthly tally corrected to 2.3mm --- .

I did not notice but I assume that the same thing happened to the yearly tally.

There is a 1.12 multiplier applied in the calibration section (maybe this has some play, don't really know!).

In all events, interesting. Hope somebody can throw some light.

Cheers!
Alan

If you're worrying about this, then relax.
Because these Fine offsets are going to cause you to pull hair if you worry about the little stuff.

It's because of rounding: 0.3 * 1.12 = 0.336, so each tip for you is not a whole multiple of a tenth of a mm. On restart, Cumulus recalculates the monthly and annual totals from the daily totals in dayfile.txt, which have already been rounded.
