Running Cumulus/ alternating between two pc's

I have been running Cumulus now for a few years on one pc however
I have just been given another old pc so I have set it up with a
mirror HD of my main weather pc, I have a switch that I could use on the cable
that comes from my davis station this would split the cable to each pc, so then
depending on how I had the switch would depend were the data would go,
would it be ok to alternate the pc I use from week to week in order to keep data
going live but allow the computers time to cool off.
I am not sure if that explains exactly what Mean soz
