min and max readings seriously incorrect

Post by Smokeymurray »

I have a Aercus WS3083, and have just started to try and download and make sense of the data via PC, using Cumulus and EasyWeather.

However, the max wind speed recorded is showing 100 MPH and the gust max is about 200 MPH. Clearly totally wrong.

Is there any reason why this would be the case, and how do I go about resetting these values, to make sure that the next readings are accurate?

Any advice would be great

Thanks.

Are you running Cumulus and EasyWeather at the same time?

Have you selected the correct station type in Cumulus - "Fine Offset with UV/Light sensor"?

I have selected the "Fine Offset with UV/Light sensor" now. It was set to just Fine Offset. At the moment it all appears to be working fine. I reset the base station to factory settings and started the readings again. Will see what the readings are tomorrow morning now.

I am running both Cumulus and EasyWeather, but not simultaneously.

Thanks for your help.
