Rain rate in trend curves

Hi all.

I have a question about rain rate as displayed in the trend curves.
Yesterday, I had a short rain storm that gave me 169.4 mm/hr at 12:27.
This figure shows up OK in the other web pages and records.
I do find the correct value in dayfile.txt for instance, bot NOT in the log file.
And it's totally gone in the trend curve, there's just a very little spike.

I'm writing to the log file every 10 minutes.
Could this missing value be because the rain storm var so very short, and just didn't make it into the log file?
Does the trend curves use the log file and not the dayfile to create the curves?
That would explain it.

I'm using a Davis Vantage Vue and Cumulus 1.9.4 (1085)
Would it help to update Cumulus?

The graphs are plotted once a minute while Cumulus is running. If Cumulus is restarted, they are re-plotted from the log files (it's the only data available). As mentioned in the FAQ, as a result peak values do not necessarily appear on the graphs; or in the log files, for that matter.

Davis stations calculate rain rates from the time between rain gauge tips; the calculated rate can fall quite quickly from its peak, once the rain starts easing off and the tips are further apart.

Yes, just what I expected, the rain fall was very short, but heavy.
Yet another reason for running Cumulus 24/7, witch I don't.
I must consider doing so.
