Hi To All,

I have just started to use Cumulus and think that its great, but I have one small problem operating it (and its my fault). When I first set the software up the units were set to m/s for the wind speed. I have changed the units now to MPH but my W1081 readout on Cumulus and the Internet web page speed are wrong (they are higher) my machine LCD display may tell me its 1.6 MPH but the Cumulus tells me its 3.1 MPH and this data is transmitted to the internet.

What I need to know is - can the software be re-set so that It show the correct MPH and if so, How to do it.

Regards to all,

Tim (Telford)

Does this explain what you're seeing? http://sandaysoft.com/faq#faq_7

Also, if you've changed units, any previously stored wind speeds will now be treated as if they were in mph, so that may cause you some problems. How long were you running with m/s before switching to mph? You really need to start afresh (or edit all of your stored wind speeds).

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

following the link to the "answer" you sent, I can confirm that as soon as I un-checked the Calculate to 10-min wind average, that the correct wind speed is now show in the Average "box" in the Cumulus wind section and is now transfers correctly to the web site to show the The current wind speed reading.

Once again, Thank you
