Turn on ftp logging (looks like you've done that already), let it run for a while, and then attach the ftplog.txt file here - you wouldn't normally upload that to your website, by the way. The ftp log that you have uploaded shows a timeout, so there does appear to be a problem there, but I'll need more than that to determine the problem.

I had a quick look at the Easyspace web hosting tutorial, and it looks like the ftp directory you need to put in Cumulus is: web/content/weather - is that what you have?

Hi Steve

Thank you for your response the folder that is used by easyspace is public_html and so I loaded my weather folder into that this is how the folder tree looks like public_html in this folder is weather and in this folder is all the cumulus data.

This was the data in the FTLog
17:41:58:656 >|421 Timeout.|

11:08:49:328 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:08:49:421 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:08:49:421 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:23:50:968 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:23:51:078 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:23:51:078 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:38:53:250 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:38:53:281 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:38:53:296 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:53:49:046 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:53:49:062 ! HighLevelAsync 0
11:53:49:062 ! HighLevelAsync 0

as you can see at http://www.halexer.co.uk/weather/ the page is viewable but doesn't seem to want to update . Is it possible to send me a typical setup so I can check my settings one at a time

many thanks

There isn't really a 'typical' setup. What you need is the following (in the Cumulus internet settings):

Web site:

Host name: ftp.whatever.com
Directory: public_html/weather
Username: whatever
Password: whatever

Web settings:

Tick 'auto update'
Set an interval (e.g. 5)

But basically all I've said here is a very cut down summary of what it says in the help, so I assume you've already done this.

You could try unticking 'auto update', restarting Cumulus, turning on ftp logging, and then doing a manual web update (from the file menu). There should then be a bit more in the ftplog.txt file.
