For some strange reason my Cumulus has started to upload a blank index to my website. the indexT shows all the correct templates and coding but today it has started to upload the actual index completely blank thus rendering my web page a white empty screen.
I copy pasted a back up and checked the index page and found it coded. Then uploaded to the page and again blank.
I'm using 1.9.4 build 1095
Can anyone help please?

Re: Blank Index
Please read the 1.9.4 release notes in the announcement thread - https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10777
In particular, the note about UTF-8 encoding.

Hi Steve
Thanks for the reply.
Call me Mr Thicky but I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this. I've had a look at this thread and don't see what you are aiming at.
I've found the UTF8 button and ticked that and tried again but still it's happening. It seemed sudden so not sure what's caused it.
I'm not brilliant when it comes to complete understanding, sorry!

Re: Blank Index
Are you using the standard supplied Cumulus templates, or some other templates which get uploaded by having the same names as the standard Cumulus templates?

Hi Steve
Sorry to be a pain!
I'm using the Weather Blues that is shown on the templates section of this forum.
Hope that helps!

Re: Blank Index
Then you need to have the "UTF-8 Encode" option OFF, as in this part of the release notice:
There is a separate UTF-8 option for the standard files ("UTF-8 Encode" in the "Web settings" box on the "Sites/Options" tab on the Internet Settings screen), and this is 'on' by default (as the standard files now require it). If you have your own modified versions of the standard files (and therefore choose the option not to install the web page templates when you install a new version of Cumulus), then you will need to turn this option off, unless you convert your pages to use UTF-8.

Re: Blank Index
Steve has told you what to do now, but if you look at http://weatherbyyou.com/forum/index.php ... &board=6.0 you will see that at least 3 other people have reported the same problem, so be reassured you are not alone!
EDIT - remove outdated cross-reference
