Hi, first sorry for my English
>>Second update to the issue & hopefully will help few other maplin N96FY users
After long time i decided to clean behind my main desktop and table where my monitor etc are
(weather perfect outside, no wind, no rain etc a perfect sunny day)
The pc as you see from the pic was on and of course cumulus & the weather station was running
While i was cleaning, i touched the usb extension joins to see if the joins was still tight after long time
I also touched the metal part of the joins
So far so good ... but when finished cleaning and gone back to my pc i see same message
I get strange because was a nice sunny & calm day ... i remembered i have touch it the usb metal join of the usb extension
I unpluged the usb, close cumulus, plug back
cumulus was working fine
I touched the usb metal extension ... same message the fine offset not responding
Repeated all about 4-5 times ...same issue
Finally i take an electric tape (cheap one) and covered all the metal join around it ... issue did not appeared again
So far i did not report it yet, because i was waiting a heavy lighting day ... which was today
As you see from the satellite weather pic & the downstream snr noise margin of my modem (the snr spikes of the modem was due to lighting)
was a good lighting activity day
So far no funny messages with the maplin kit (since the time i have placed the electric tape around the usb extension) & so far even today we had so many lightings ... all running smooth ...
>> i also noticed that i don't have any more funny readings, such reporting outdoor temp 47 C and low pressure such 900mb
So it looks like some users we have usb extension and that is the issue???
Maybe Not but i am 100% sure none of the above issues appeared since then and is about 1 month & half since i have placed the tape
Before every 2-3 weeks max i will also have funny readings such temp reaching 47C & when lighting the message fine offset not responding was there for me
Hope it helps ... it did for me ... Thanks for reading
