Editing Cumulus data files

Hi
I'm relatievly new to the software and haven't had chance to see how everything fits together. I have a problem atthe moment as I have a high rainfall rate of 1645mm per hour showing in my all time records. This was caused by a blockage and then releasing the blockage in the gauge. Can this be corrected by editing the data files.
Please advice procedure.
