Realtime update of data in a table

Post by ole.vik »

Hi all

I use a php script (webtags -> php from J. Desroches) to fetch Cumulus data
into a tables on my webpage. This works as it should. However, since my data
updates every 5 sec, i'd like my tables to reflect the changes as it happens.

My php knowledge is very limited, so i'm a bit lost on how i can proceed.
One of my fellow countrymen, has a webpage that displays this exact function
in an elegant way: http://mellos.no

This is actually exactly what i would like to accomplish. I'm not after the changing graphics etc,
only the stats.

All help is greatly appreciated :-)

Regards
Ole

In order to update whilst looking at a page you need a JS ajax routine to reload the data and 'rewrite' the content of named <div>s or <span>s.
