Display Weather Data from EasyWeather

Hi there,
I installed Cumulus yesterday. I don't intend to connect a weather station to my computer. I get weather data from a different computer, as a .txt file, seperated with TABs, and shall display the data. Unfortunately it is impossible for me to download the data from the station itself, because the station is located in another country.
I managed to convert the data to an .xls file, but this was no help. The .txt file was created by EasyWeather and the first lines look like this.
Sample 1.txt
I will receive files like this regularly and would like to be able to convert them for displaying them myself.
Thanks in advance.

See
this thread where user "dane" is offering to convert easyweather data into Cumulus format. But this is intended to be a 'one-off' operation, I'm not sure he'd be prepared to do it on a regular basis. You could talk to him and see if he can offer any advice.
What you're trying to do with Cumulus isn't something that it was ever intended for, I don't know how successful you will be.

Thank you for your quick reply.
Could you recommend me a program that does what I want to do? I have no deep knowledge of meteorology. This is the first time I am confronted with this kind of data and I am quite desperate. Your software looks great and I just hoped it would do the trick.

You haven't actually said what it is that you want to do that Easyweather won't do for you anyway?
You can certainly import your data into Cumulus, but if you want Cumulus to show highs and lows etc, you will need to use the built-in editors each time you do that, to regenerate the high/low data. But whether Cumulus will do what you want to do depends on what it is that you want it to do.

The problem with easy weather is, that it cannot import the txt files I receive. Or perhaps I was just to stupid to do so. But I found no Import button. I have no access to the weather station itself. I want to display the change of wind, rainfall and temperature over the day and over the year. The goal is to be able to estimate the effect of the weather on an archaeological site. The station is in Turkey and I will have to do this sitting in Berlin. My first attempt was to do this in excel, but excel is not made for displaying this huge amount of data that already is and will be accumulated.
If I could convert and import the data into Cumulus it would give me all the graphs I need and I would be happy if I could get it to work.

I don't know much about Easyweather, but I'd assumed that if you copied the data files from one instance to another, the second instance would read the files and display the data. But anyway, perhaps you could ask Ib (dane) to convert a file for you, then you can see what Cumulus will do with it. If it does what you want, then you would have to work something out for the ongoing conversion of the data.

That was the first thing I tried and I don't know why it didn't work.
Thank you for your kind efforts anyway. I will try to find a way to just display the data into a graph.
Sincerely,
Nico
