Steve, are there any plans for Cumulus to show historical data for multiple parameters in Select-a-Graph?
I know the "graphs" section shows this for limited period, but I would like to go back and see historical data.
Jeff

Re: Select-a-Graph showing historical data?
I'm a bit confused (the word I must use most often on here) by the title. Select-A-Graph already shows historical data - that's the whole point of it, really.
If the request is for multiple parameters on one graph, then I will try to do that eventually in Cumulus 2. I'll also have a look at the current version to see how easy that would be. Probably not too hard - I suspect that most of the work would be in changing the user interface and making sure that only compatible combinations of parameters were allowed to be chosen - I don't think the graphing package allows multiple Y-axes. For example, plotting pressure in mb and temperature on the same graph - while that would be a useful thing to do, the Y axis would scale for the pressure, and the temperature line would be way down at the bottom of the chart. I suppose I could just allow any combination anyway even if some of the results were a bit odd.

Yes, this is what I'm referring to. It would be nice to select which parameters to show (2 or 3 at a time).steve wrote: If the request is for multiple parameters on one graph
Thanks for looking into this.

Only problem I can see with that is that you need to be a bit judicious as to which parameters you display due to scaling
Good addition though.

Well, yes, that's what I was alluding to above. I could put some sort of restrictions in, but I may as well leave it to the user to be sensibleSuper-T wrote:Only problem I can see with that is that you need to be a bit judicious as to which parameters you display due to scaling

It's fine the way it is
Works for me.
