Spiders in Rain Gauge

Any ideas on how to keep spider nests out of the rain gauge?

Hit the rain gauge with a insect surface spray every couple of months. Not perfect but keeps the time between cleans, down to a minimum.

Pet flea collars can also be effective.

I have done this for my rain guage and have had no problem
with spiders for a couple of years now
