NorthEastern Weather Network mesonet map updated...

In December, 2013, I began hosting and administration for the NorthEastern Weather Network website as the founder (Jack of stillweather.com) had to discontinue his hosting and administration for personal reasons.

It's taken me quite a while, but I've now reorganized the NEWN mesonet map for better presentation (and to make room for recent applications for membership).

Members of the Northeastern Weather Network who have installed a PHP mesonet map on their website should update the map/code as the map has changed quite a bit -- there are now two insets at the bottom of the map to handle the number of stations near Long Island Sound and in Eastern Massachusetts.

Please use your mesomap-update-utility.php on your site for the new NEWN-mesomap.php, control file and map graphic.
Note that the graphic has expanded in size to 520x690px and that necessitated an update to the NEWN-mesomap.php script.

You can also download the full NEWN-mesomap.zip from the website which also has an update for the mesomap-update-utility.php.
