Replacing my LaCross with a Tycon Power TP1080WC. The console is reading data from the WS, the PC is reading correct data from the console. However, I'm trying to run CUMULUS to dump my data to several PWS sites I subscirbe to. Cumulus is reporting incorrect data, Its 88 outside but CUMULUS thinks its 32. None of the data is correct. I don't see the EasyShare.dat file anywhere and I assume that is where the data for CUMULUS lives. Any suggestions.

Are you trying to get Cumulus to read data from an easyweather.dat file produced by Easyweather? You will get much better results by selecting a station type of "Fine Offset (WH1080 etc)" but making sure that you don't run Easyweather at the same time as Cumulus. That way, Cumulus will read the data directly from the station.

I finally figured that out Steve. I deleted EasyWeather but Cumulus still isn't seeing any data. I know the PC is getting data because I saw it with EasyWeather. I've made sure to check Offset instead of EasyWeather. I am pretty sure I'm not seeing a data log file. I just don't know where to look for it. I also didn't fine the daily data log described in the Cumulus FAQ pages.

One of the screenshots I saw of Cumulus had a USB option along with TCPIP and Serial. I don't have that option.

You don't need to choose a USB option, that's for a different type of station. Fine Offset stations are always USB. The Cumulus data logs are in the "data" folder in the Cumulus installation folder. Is Cumulus showing live data on its main screen? You may need to restart it after selecting the correct station type. If you can't get it to work, zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply, and I'll take a look.

No realtime data. I was getting realtime data with EasyWeather but nothing with Cumulus. I'm sure its something simple. I'll get the diag folder off to you.
Didn't I read that the com port was irrelevant?

Your station isn't initialised properly:

4/21/2014 17:39:12.556 : EWUSB: Bad startup block 0, discarding. Byte 0 = FF Byte 1 = FF

Normally it would show you an error message about this, saying "station not initialised". See this FAQ for what to do: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#When_I ... ialised.22

I'm not a ham, no. The man who lived here before us was (before 2006) but I don't know what his call sign was.

Got it. I did that yesterday but I might not have left it off long enough or maybe I didn't unplug the USB cable. Thanks for the help. Maybe thats also why it displayed on EasyWeather but I couldnt find the .dat file hidden or not!

Thanks
