Cumulus software not uploading data to Wundergound

Cumulus software not uploading my weather data to Wunderground.

I have entered settings for in Cumulus according to postings I found here and other boards:

Weather Underground is checked - enabled

Rapid Fire is checked
interval is set to five minutes.
the station id is entered correctly.
and the password was entered correctly.

When I click on Debug then check the file after a few minutes I find that it isn't able to log into the site. the error is ID/Password is bad.

I went to their site and using my ID logged into there with the same password that Cumulus is supposed to use.

The details that you supply to Cumulus need to be for your station, not your WU account login; they are not the same. Please show a screen shot of your WU settings in Cumulus, and cut and paste the update and response from the debug log.

I believe I have the information you requested. It has been uploaded as a word doc.

The possibilities that I can think of are:

1. You've typed your password incorrectly in Cumulus
2. Your password contains non-alphanumeric characters which are getting altered in transmission
3. There is a problem at WU with your station information. I can't find your station details on their site

They are having a number of issues at WU recently, with this change to the "new and improved" site. As a test, you could paste an update into your browser:

That's one single line. Replace the asterisks with your password.

I can not find KNDABSAR2 as a valid station ID on WU nor can I find KNDABSAR1. I suggest that you go back to WU and reregister for a station ID.

I tried the copy and paste of the line and got the same response from them - invalid id/password. I'll put in a comment at that site and see what they tell me.

I just received an reply back from WU and it looks like the password was the issue. Their system does not like special characters in the password used when sending data to them from the weather stations.

I just changed in it the internet settings so will see if in 24-48 hours if my station will start to report.

I'm reporting to WU, but not consistantly. the software doesn't seem to read the data on the station when it should causing it to reportold information to the internet site. That is a different problem and will put a new post for that issue.
