WS3083 Data Download Problem

Post by silkman »

I installed an Aercus WS3083 system a week ago and it has been working faultlessly until today. The station is working fine when when I connected it to my Window 7 laptop this morning it's hung up on the "Downloading Data Please Wait" screen.

I've checked the USB connection and have uninstalled and re-installed the software on the laptop but to no avail.

Can anybody help?

It could well be the infamous Fine Offset 'USB lockup' issue. Are you using the 'Synchronise Fine Offset Reads' setting? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply, I'll take a look.

You will probably have to reset the station (remove batteries and USB cable) to get it talking again, see the FAQ: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... .22_screen

Steve

It was indeed and its now sorted. Many thanks! I think this Forum might prove very useful and it is much appreciated by a new relatively lo-tech user.
