Vantage Vue data

Hello
Yesterday I retired my increasingly unreliable Fine Offset station and replaced it with a Vantage Vue including a USB data logger. The installation was straightforward although I did struggle to get the Vantage Vue to 'talk' to Cumulus for a while. Eventually that was resolved. I am, however, puzzled: as a dinosaur who switches the PC offset during the night, I expected the 'logger' to have saved the 'night' data. This it did but only at 30 minute intervals. This I realised was because I hadn't set the Weatherlink software to save the data at the correct interval. What does puzzle me is that if the PC is switched off, the data logger saves the intervening data and when the PC is restarted, Cumulus appears to download the missing data i.e. a download box appears with varying degrees of green. When I then look at the Cumulus data file for April 2014 there is a gap for the period when the PC and Cumulus were off. Can anyone explain where the missing data is recorded as it does seem as if Cumulus updates from the logger but the data it's using to update is not being recorded in the data file.
Advice would be appreciated please.

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it to a reply, I'll take a look.

Hi Steve

Thank you for your prompt response - I think matters have resolved. Knowing that I was to be out for several hours today I turned the PC off and it remained off for about 4 hours. On my return I restarted both the PC and Cumulus: Cumulus downloaded the data recorded by the Vantage Vue and having looked at the data log file no data was missed or omitted when the PC and Cumulus were inoperative. Hopefully, therefore, the problem has resolved itself and possibly this was just a glitch during the first full day working with the new station.
Thanks.
Tony
