Installation files corrupted ?

Post by LW1DRJ »

Hello everyone:

I have tried to install the new version of Cumulus and the installation process gives the following message: "the setup files are corrupted Please Obtain a new copy of the program".

I clarify that I have downloaded the installation file several times and on different machines, both with windows 7 as windows 8 but always the same message.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Are you using a download manager? That can cause corruption of the download, there's something about the plugin I use that doesn't like some download managers.

There's an alternative download here: http://sandaysoft.com/files/CumulusSetup.exe

Hi Steve:
Thanks for the prompt reply.
No, I'm not using download manager. Downloads made in the browser (using "save file as ...") or simply clicking on the download link. I use Mozilla Firefox or Explorer and with both is the same.
This is very strange ...

And you get the same with the alternative link I provided? I think your browsers may have cached corrupted copies of the installer at some point. Clearing your cache may fix it.

From the link you provided I was able to download the same file and the error persists.
I've cleaned the cache of downloads several times in both browsers.
In addition, Windows generates an error saying "can not verify the publisher of this program." I deleted this control in the system and nothing ...
I'm using version 1.9.4 (build 1063) without problems. Obviously between 1063 and 1089 there is a difference I can not identify...
Thanks
Daniel

In addition, Windows generates an error saying "can not verify the publisher of this program."
Windows always says that about downloads that have not been verified. Just ignore it and install the executable downloaded from the link by double clicking on the CumulusSetup.exe, or alternatively instead of saving the executable click on Run.
