Looks good -- The graphs are good, what did you use?

You need to scroll on the front page to get the forecast, which is a shame. A user might miss that there is a forecast.

PS - Can we have some of your heat?! LOL

Thanks for taking the time to reply David, Steve & Beteljuice,

I had just looked at the MMLConfig.xml before coming here and found the </map63> error so I put that right. I know where it came from - I originally started with one map and then added more one-at-a-time. I was cuttong & pasting a lot and I am guessing that I used </map3> at the end of map 6, added the six but forgot to delete the 3...

It is now corrected but I am not sure if that will work or not... :?

In my ignorance I would not know where to start when it comes to debugging anything to do with containers, class=autosize and it's accompanying stylesheet etc. without a little hand-holding so I might have to leave it there for a while unless some kind soul might care to enlighten me?

Really weird though that I can see it fine on my PC and in IE8 with no problems? :o

I have even logged on remotely with other peoples PC's and the map appears full page so really don't know what to do.

Would be nice to get to the bottom of it though...

Thanks & kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

Note to Steve - this has all gone off topic - new thread ?

glynh - Mesomap display problem.

I have been looking at (many) other sites, and they all seem to have some kind of problem.
As far as I can tell, the original code was intended to fit into a specific page template, and as soon as some of the code gets changed or div ids get lost - then it doesn't do the auto resize or 'to - fit'.

Most people seem to have left the class="autosize" in, but it doesn't do anything.
Some have abandoned the javascript call, and embed the <object> directly (defining it's width and height)
Other are using the call as you are, but are defining the width / height parameters in pixels (NOT 100%)

eg.

var widthOfMml = "750";
var heightOfMml = "580";

It would seem IE8 is looking at the code and display 100% of original swf, rather filling 100% of container
Hope this helps

Thanks for the input on my iPhone pages. I figured out how to get the forecast on the first page without scrolling, and without giving up my headers. I simply collapsed wind and gust info onto two lines without a line between them. Works fine.

For those who were curious about where the graphs and radar feeds come from, I pull them from my findu/APRS pages. The most user friendly way to get to the site is http://proaviator.com/findu/ There are several doorways to the findu servers, although some of them seem to be far more efficient and faster than others. As an amateur radio operator, I am automatically registered to use the site, but other folks may apply for and get registration approved easily. Check it out.

By the way, if you copy the links for your data off the findu pages, you will have to scale the images to fit your screen space. That is easy enough to do by adjusting the tags imbedded on the end of the respective HTML address.

Thanks again for the feedback, cheers, Lex

Apologies for dragging the thread off-topic...I was getting carried away in my quest to try & resolve the MML display issue that I never even knew existed until I found David's great iPhone code... ...and it doesn't even display the maps!

Many thanks for the info Beteljuice...I might just go back to the author now you have given me something to go on?

Thanks & regards,

Is anyone able to point me to an emulator/simulator to install under Vista on my PC to test iCumulus code modifications or new HTML and java.

How about this: http://labs.blackbaud.com/NetCommunity/ ... ?artid=662

Or there's a web-based one here: http://www.testiphone.com/

As always - immediate, accurate, and useful.

Thanks, Steve

Just make sure you surf to the emulation websites using the Safari browser -- this will give you the most realistic experience

I'm obviously missing something but...

...there's nowhere, that I can find, to actually surf to the code for icumulus.

Can somebody point me to that?

What changes are we looking for? I am not seeing anything different. Or is the change that it is produced by PHP?
