Hi,
I have an electronic weather station and lately it has been acting differently, the barometric pressure rises and drops rather radically. It shows a drop from 29 to 24. in a matter of an hour, then back up over 30 inHg. It sometimes does this 2-3 times a day, I am in a new place now and wondering if it's actually possible for this to happen or if I need a new station. I live right at sea level and approx 1000 ft from the ocean, not sure if this has an effect.
I've not seen this before---thanks!

Re: Newby here
It's faulty. A drop of 5 inches in an hour is not possible, not even in a hurricane, and reading of 24 inches at sea level is also not realistic.

Thanks Steve, I like digital but this is the downside. Plus I figure to learn a thing or 2 hanging around here.

Re: Newby here
Could it be affected by some new electronics near by? Cell phone, switch mode power supplies etc?
Some modern electronics are very electronically 'noisy'.

Actually when I moved in here I put it on the wall by the TV, but only the barometer is acting funny. Oh well, it has been a good unit for years--if it's a goner it doesn't owe me anything.
