Vision Impaired - Blind Operator use of Cumulus

Is there anyone with a vision impairment / blindness condition using Cumulus, who would like to exchange techniques of accessing Cumulus screen information, either using Jaws or some other software accessory - a fellow white stick radio amateur is keen to hear of any method which has given good results. He is currently using Jaws keyboard shortcuts so access some, but not all the data presented on the screen

Cheers
Brian

That's a serious Text-To-Speech program.
If only the data is required (as opposed to menu / file functions etc.) Then cumulus can produce a text or html file using <#webtags> which could be customised to the information your friend wants to hear and the order it is in, together with 'added' english.

eg. "The temperature is ..."

Is that the sort of thing you mean ?

Another way you can get some of the front screen data in text format is to use the 'copy to clipboard' function from the edit menu (so Alt EC would be the keyboard alternative, if that's easier). You could then paste it into a file or wherever. It doesn't give all of the data that's on the main screen, but it might be useful.

A couple of good suggestions to start with - will see how we go with them
Thanks
