I cant install the latest build of Cumulus (build 1089) my avast antivirus seems to prevent it. As I'm sure that its not infected I don't know how the disable Avast from preventing to install cumulus , any ideas ?

Click on icon in System Tray, then 'Settings', 'Active Protection', and turn off the shield for the required period.

I've never had problems with Avast, so are you sure it's a genuine message from the AV. I came across a Trojan which prevented any installs recently (win 7).

Thanks this did it , I've had never this problem , avast asked me to confirm if the download was from a known site what software it was and the publisher. I've filled out the questions , avast reported that when the download is safe it wil be accepted in the next update.

I too had this problem and just turned the protection off, installed cumulus and then turned protection back on.
I was going to report it as a False Positive, but did not have enough time this morning as was running late.

I also reported a 'False Positive' when Avast quarantined a new version of my 'Grabber' program
and a day later it allowed me to install without flagging it up :)

Presumably Avast are operating a similar 'reputation' system to the one that Symantec have.
