unable to dos script ftp commands - requires passive connect

My web site is hosted on internode.on.net and it seems ftp with dos can only use passive mode which windows dos doesn't like, even if I call 'quote passive' the upload doesn't seem to work, just sits there. I do other things like delete and rename with no problems, so its connecting and in the right dir and stuff.

So does anyone know of a alternative command line passive ftp for dos using a script??

I'm using cumulus toolbox at the moment , but it seems to kill my ftp process With realtime.XML and realtime.txt for no reason.

Hence getting a .bat script to take care of video uploads and others..

There are lots of them - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... t_software

NcFTP and WinSCP are two that I have used in the past.

Thanks Steve, I had a look at ncftp before, but was put of by the installer. The WinSCP one looks promising and hopefully easy to use. Plus its free!!!

Bugga it, installed ncftp and got it and running using one line :

ncftpput -C -u (user) -p (password) ftp.users.on.net c:\temp\d.jpg /snapshot/snapshot.jpg

Just got to edit/clean up my pages to use this ftp in the bat files. Then I'll convert all bat files to exe for ease of use and to enable complete no window excited.

Now to built/edit the scripts to incorporate everything.
Will have few scripts, one to put the cam page online/offline, one to send latest still shot every x time and one to make the mp4, tidy up, archive mp4 and upload.
