Wind gauge on my website!?!

Post by charlestownmet »

Hi
The wind gauge on my website reads 5.4 kmph with a gust of 10 kmph and the direction is always pointing SSE no matter what. The software has the correct speed and direction displayed as do the real time dials, whats up here??
My website is http://www.charlestownweather.com

Look in the web/images folder in the Cumulus folder on your PC, to see if the images (windgauge.png and compass.png) are being updated there. If they are, then it's an ftp issue, so turn on ftp logging and look at the ftplog.txt file for ftp problems. If they're not being updated, look in the latest diags file (cumulus.009) to see if there any error messages in there about those files.

I suspect that the problem is that you're trying to update your web site every minute, and it probably takes longer than that to do each update. Many of the pages and images on your site aren't getting updated. The ftp log may have some clues. You could try increasing the interval between uploads.

Figured out my problem, after software update, my internet settings had changed, had to recheck use active FTP mode, all gauges working OK now! 8-)
