Not writing to the dayfile

Post by jjocsak »

What could cause this?
When I looked at cumulus this morning there was an error (Did not write it down) and as I was looking at the dayfile there is no entry for 7/10, 7/11.

On 7/10 I had some sort of spike and had recordings of (Min temp 999, Max -500).I fixed that in the Jul09log.txt file and the yesterday.ini file and edited the all time records.

Also yesterdays data is being shown as current in Cumulus display and yesterday entry's are blank even though the yesterday.ini file is populated.

Will there be an entry for 7/12 at midnight or is something corrupt with this file?
The backup files are identical to the current one.

If you need any more info please let me know.

It's failed to do the rollover for last night, presumably due to the error at startup. If you restart with the backup that should have been taken this morning, hopefully you won't have the same error (if you do, note what it is), and you should then do the rollover for last night and you'll get an entry in dayfile.txt.

The fact that you had the default values for min an max for the 10th suggest a previous error doing the rollover, so perhaps there is indeed a corruption.

If you try the restart from backup as above, and it still fails, send me the contents of your backup from this morning, plus the corresponding file for the failed start up from the diags folder.

That looks like it worked.

Yesterdays and today's data look good as well as the log files and graphs.

Thanks.
