RSS is 'just' xml ...
You can use Cumulus to process / generate the xml and ftp to your site.
It's been a loooooong time since the beteljuice did any rss / xml, and I have no way of checking if I've done my time / date formatting correctly, but a very basic attempt (NO stylesheet and untested) would be something like:
Code: Select all

My Weather Site

My Current Weather

Weather Conditions @ <#time>

<#timeUTC format="ddd',' dd mmm yyyy hh:nn:ss"> GMT

Temp: <#temp>°C
Wind: <#wlatest> mph <#currentwdir> upto <#wgust> mph
Rain: <#rfall> mm

No doubt someone with more expertise will be along shortly ...

So I made a file rss.xml. and put it in the Cumulus folder on the server. I must replace a link into what?.

The maybe working example the beteljuice gave contains <#webtags> - so you need to add it to your files to be
processed then uploaded (ftp) by Cumulus.
If I have got any of the <#webtag> format wrong then it may
not get processed.
If it gets correctly processed and uploaded then that file is your RSS 'link' / feed.
Would someone who knows what they doing please interject ?
This could be a worthwhile project for Cumulus 'add-ons'

I modified the rss template from this thread:
https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9938 as the basis for my rss feed. I have Cumulus process the file and ftp the file to my website. In the footer of my webpage I added:

You will need to find an RSS icon to use on your website. Here is one site:

@tobyspound
So, I did as you wrote..I take your rss template, modified (e mail, web page adress, minutes refreshing page....) and upload in my Cumulus folder. I use a Cumulus web page, but I don't know where is a footer of a web page, and where and how to "install" rss icon? I suppose that I must add "a href" line in my index html page on server?
Thanks

You can place the link to the RSS feed anyplace on your website - that is up to you - and yes you need to add the href line where you want the link to appear. You need to upload the RSS icon to your web site - I suggest the images folder.

Have just implemented this in both my Saratoga template and Cumulus html sites.
Had some issues getting this going in Win8.1/IE11/ which turned out to be a lack of alt=".." error in the <img src=" tag - talk about picky!
In the process of trying to sort this I found some internet step by step examples so modified the above posted solutions to the simplified version in the attachment to this post.
The tag file is named C:\Cumulus\web\cumulusrssT.txt which Cumulus processes and FTPs as cumulus.rss.
Note that the encoding is utf-8
It and the icon then need to be linked to the page somewhere.
Have put all this together in the attached files with samples and further details on configuration.
Note the icons in the attachment are the two standard icons and should NOT be modified. There are others available from the link in the above posts.
This is a first time attempt at RSS but appears to work fine.
Thanks for the those that posted before and did all the hard work
