Close when data stops

Hi, is there any way for cumulus to close itself down when it detects that data input has stopped? I know there is a restart option, but that won't help my situation.
Occasionally I get a problem where the information stops coming through the USB port, in which case a restart will not solve the issue.

Typically it happens when I'm in bed
When it does I have to do a good deal of file editing and so on the next morning. If I can get Cumulus to close when the problem occurs it would greatly minimise the amount of fiddling and editing I need to do.

It wouldn't be difficult to add that as an option. But when it restarts, if it's unable to reconnect, it shouldn't start logging. Is that not what happens? That's why I've never added this option; the theory is that the restart either fixes the problem (unlikely) or it stops Cumulus logging and uploading etc.

I haven't tried because I assumed it would keep logging and/or uploading. I'll enable the restart option and let you know the outcome if the problem happens again.

Hi Steve. Cumulus restarted overnight when the connection was lost as it was meant to. Got stuck on error -32701 when it did though.
At least it didn't log any bad numbers though

Yes, that's what I would expect.
