Cumulus Support

Good evening everyone,

I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere .
Right, I have a Vantage Vue, and decided to give Cumulus a try after a few years away with Weather Display. I've downloaded version 1.94, and made sure that Weather Display wasn't running.
I ran the installer, with seemingly no problems, when starting Cumulus, however, it takes several seconds whilst Initialising. Once that's done, I try to configure the weather station settings, but as soon as I click on the menu in Cumulus, the program crashes, and displays the following error message.
Can anyone please suggest ways around this?. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, and installed Cumulus under Administrator priveleges.

Could you attach the bugreport.txt file, please, as mentioned in the error message?

If you could also zip up the diags folder and attach it, that would be useful.

Can you confirm that this is a completely fresh install of Cumulus? The station settings screen should have appeared automatically, so you shouldn't have needed to click on a menu to get there.

Yes this was a fresh install, however even though I'd uninstalled the previous install, the new install still found the existing folder.

If it didn't automatically put up the station settings screen, then the files from a previous installation were still there, and the original settings are probably confusing things. The diags files I asked for would have confirmed this, but in any case it's trying to open the connection, so it must have got some settings from somewhere.

I suggest you uninstall, and delete the files and folder from existing installation completely, and then reinstall. Make sure that you install to C:\Cumulus, even if the installer offers you a location in Program Files (it may get that from the old installation).

I now have Cumulus working - thank you.

With WD (Weather Display) I can send data to my Wunderground account, and also their rapid fire page.
Am I able to do the same with Cumulus, and is it straight forward to set up?.

Yes, just put your WU details into the box on the internet configuration screen.
