I have work to do

Post by fastbysuzuki »

During the storms yesterday my rain readings went wild I am assuming this was due to the wind gusting to 94mph and shaking the iss so the tipping mech was registering has anyone else had this happen.

Rainfall rate 0.0 mm/hr Rainfall Today 197.2 mm
Rainfall Last Hour 0.0 mm Rainfall This Month 3784.4 mm
Rainfall since midnight 2547.6 mm Rainfall This Year 3871.0 mm
Rainfall last 24h 2782.8 mm Last rainfall 2014-02-13 09:42

Think I have some adjusting to do

Yes, this is quite common. As well as the shaking, the wind itself can cause the buckets to tip. I noticed yesterday when someone had posted a link to their high winds speeds, that their "rain" had also been at "record" levels.

Hi,

The "Select a Graph" facility can be very useful to directly compare "rain rate" (or daily rain) against the windspeed or gusts, etc.. Then (if you wish) you can "zoom in" on the time axis to know where the log file needs to be corrected.

Cheers, Alan.
