UV and solar .png files not visible online

Post by patrickduis »

Hi, my WS-5000 weather station has a built in UV and solar radiation sensors. These work fine and I see them correctly online of Wunderground, for example.

I have Cumulus 1.9.4 running and it sends the uv.png, solar.png, solasm.pgn and sunshinesm.png to via ftp correctly to the images directly on my webhost because solar, UV and sunshine are checked in the files tab of the internet settings, but for some kind of reason these don't show up on the online screens.

I already looked in the htm files that are also online, but I cannot see the reason why the uv and solar measurement doesn't show up.

I am using the standard simple install. See my website at http://sterrenwachtmyrtha.waarnemen.com/gauges.htm

I have the feeling something is somewhere not enabled, but are a bit confused where this could be.

The standard supplied web pages do not include solar and UV data because most people do not have those. If you want to display the information on your web site and still use the supplied web pages, you can edit them, see http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Customised_templates

I swapped Inside temp for UV on my page: http://www.westonweather.co.uk/trends.php

Very easy to do, just change the tags.

Example. I swapped the whole Inside temp section for this:

Code: Select all

              <a href="images/uv.png">
                <img src="images/uvsm.png" alt="<?php echo $Tr_uvsm; ?>" title="UV Index" class="image2" />
              </a>
            </li>
Note, I am not using the standard templates, but the basis is the same.

You can then also go on to modify the main, today & yesterday pages with UV & Solar info as required.

I was able to add an extra graph for the UV sensor, but now my location #h_location dissapeared.....since I'm quite a html noob I have no idea why that is, see the page here: http://sterrenwachtmyrtha.waarnemen.com/trends.htm
On the main page this info is shown correctly....http://sterrenwachtmyrtha.waarnemen.com/index.htm

Any idea what that can be?
