Good News Story

Post by honestjohn »

Hi all,

I just wanted to share with you, a mail that I have just received via my website:-

Hi
Just to write and say thank you for your records for the month of January which helped us with our insurance claim as the company's representative stated wind gusts on a date in January were not within their parameters to claim for storm damage. But checking out your website we were able to refute this and it also helped our neighbour's in their dispute with their insurer.

Many thanks

Its great to get feedback like this from my hobby.

Regards

John

Brilliant story. I had a similar thing a couple of years ago when someone was able to claim for damage to their conservatory thanks to my weather data. Shame they didn't come knocking with a generous back hander, but it was still very satifying to know I'd helped someone out with my hobby.

That's quite an interesting one, an insurance company taking a "home" weather system as a defacto statement of conditions. I would have thought they would not have accepted the readings as it wouldn't be considered a "legitimate" or "reliable" source of readings.
I'll have to remember that next time we have storm damage!
