Yes, its been a hot start to the year. Up here its usually 3 or 4 degrees cooler than Adelaide and yet we've had nine 40+ days so far this year.

I used to work at Frenchs Forest in the 1990's (for Honeywell-Bull).

Me too, Except I worked for Gestetner which was gobbled up by Ricoh at some point after I left.

Does French's Forest means anything to you? I lived there as a kid 1963-64

You clearly live further away now judging from one of your excellent night sky photos. What a small world. It had no industry back then. Just new houses, a school, a few shops and lots of bush!

It has changed enormously- about 10 years ago I drove around French's Forest and Belrose to look for the houses where I used to live- it's all completely unrecognisable! I used to run around in the bush there as a 4-6yo, its all gone now.
Yes, I'm about 300km north of there these days, much more peace and quiet, and darker skies
