My Fine Offset station celebrates it's sixth birthday today. Mostly original except for the "windy" bits, these have been replaced a number of times; it's currently on only it's second set of batteries!

Happy Birthday

My Fine Offset recently celebrated it's third birthday. I too had to replace a windy bit, the one that goes 'round and 'round. My fault tho', I whacked it one too many times after it had frozen following freezing rain.

Hahaha!! My first F/O made it to 4 years and I only replaced it because of the round and round windy bit too!
That said, the wig wag windy bit was showing signs of age too.

Are these technical, meteorological terms in the Wiki?
What do you call the rain gathering thingy?

Mine is coming up to it's 3rd birthday and to-date (fingers crossed) I haven't had to replace anything except the batteries. Found that a liberal use of WD40 on the wind parts each year keeps them in working order.
