RESET MAYBE?

In the last couple of days, because my rain gauge is not as secure as it could be, the wind being a bit strong its buffeting the rain gauge, the readings have been off the planet ie 11 inches today!! I know its been wet but not that much. Also, I stupidly tried to change Cumulus settings to mm from inches and that confused the figures for a day as well. While I'm at it, my top wind speed has been 99.9 mph.

Would it be a good idea to save all the info I have for the year my weather station has been set up, remove Cumulus and then reload it again starting fresh? Hassle I know but what is the opinion of others.

If it were data for a couple of days I should begin again maybe, but data for a year no way I should try to correct it or delete only the faulty data.

Ok, thanks for that. Any idea how to delete data. By deleting the bad stuff will it make the figures in Cumulus change? I mean for eg. The day with 11 inches will it change that to show nothing? or can I edit it to show something? With the Records of Extremes will it change that to not show a 99.9 mph wind?

Why is it so bad to save all that data from a year and re install Cumulus?

There is information in the FAQ and the wiki about correcting data.

Changing the log files doesn't automatically change the high/low records, they are held separately.
