Could you clarify what it is that you want to use the Beaglebone for? Cumulus won't run on it.

Re: need help with Beaglebone black as a server to a WS 2080
I have a WS 2080 weather station, I am currently using with Cumulus and a windows 7 PC,
I would like to see if there is a way to use the Beaglebone black (see Beaglebone.org ) ,Beaglebone black is a very small PC that has a server built in. it uses the Linux OS
my reasons are... BB B is small, low Power (5 VDC .5 amps) so I could set it up with a Battery and solar.
I hope this answers your question I am new at this forum stuff, but have been around Computers and electronics for many years.and retired so I have a lot of time .
thanks DHB

I think I've got a BB black somewhere. But Cumulus only runs on Windows. It's possible that there might be a Linux version one day, and it might run on a BB black.dhbutler wrote:Beaglebone black is a very small PC that has a server built in. it uses the Linux OS

Rather than write your own software from scratch, you might want to first take a look at pywws, written by Jim Easterbrook - http://jim-easterbrook.github.io/pywws/ ... index.htmldhbutler wrote:I hope so , I'm going to try to get something started on the BB site.
It runs on Linux on low-power devices, so may well work on a BB black.
