What do the Northern Isles think?

Since there doesn't seem to be a idle chatter forum, but I guess it's a question for Steve:

S'pose there's a Yes vote. What's the consensus in the Northern Isles (assuming, perhaps wrongly, that Shetland and Orkney might think alike)? Is there any serious interest in a potential UDI from Scotland?

If so then perhaps there might be improvements on the way for transport links in Orkney, like this one proposed for Shetland: http://goo.gl/xWKLQh .

I think most people here are pretty much indifferent. They feel as detached from Holyrood as they do from Westminster. Most of the natives regard themselves as Orcadian rather than Scottish.

Nice April Fool about the underground railway, though.
