Interesting that Ray has the same problem.
link for me hasn't changed:-
https://www.janter.co.nz/weather/betel_datasummary.php so I guess that perhaps my ISP has changed something. I'll have to try running locally.
I always blame MS updates whenever something like this happens

To me Ray's summary page displays OK, @Super-T's does not (blank page)

I've done a query to my ISP as I can't see that I have changed anything. May the ISP has done an update.

Terry,
Viewing page source for your data summary shows href as href="700betel_datasummary.css"
Mine is href="betel_datasummary.css"
Is that relevant?

If you run an F12 diagnostic on the page it is failing with a 404 not found for favicon.ico, which may cause the page not to load.
Suggest you put a favicon.ico in correct spot.
I agree with Hans Ray's page is displaying correctly.

Nothing on a 404 for favicon.ico when I load the page.
And beside that: I don't think failing to load an element blocks the whole page to load in HTML.
If I look at the page source I would say the PHP processing goes wrong somewhere.
Can you check the errorlog?

Good try Ray. I took off the 700 but still not loading the page completely.

I have no idea why it was named with the 700 in front. I haven't touched the page for so long. Nothing back from my ISP yet.
I reloaded the betel stuff from my backup but that didn't fix the problem.
Where would I find the error log Hans?
checkserver.php works ok

Put this in in the data summary php page, at the top
Code: Select all
error_reporting(E_ALL);
ini_set('display_errors', '1');
Post the link to your data summary page.
I think there's errors due to being on PHP 8.1

I haven't used this version for a long time... but from the HowTo:
Code: Select all
################################################################################
### FOR beteljuice's "yet another dayfile reader" HowTo ## file version 1.4.4 ##
################################################################################
After downloading the .zip you will need some files but which ones?
A working system needs 4 files plus the 4 graphics plus access to the
dayfile.txt file which Cumulus uploads each night.
1. betel_dayfile_languages.php
2. betel_readDayfile.php
3. a .css file - see below.
4. a basic.php - also see below
5. the 4 season graphic filesThere are 3 .css files to choose from;
wide - betel_datasummary.css
medium - 750betel_datasummary.css
narrow - 700betel_datasummary.css
and 3 basic.php files to match
Only you can decide which is best for you and you can try them all.
The sample scripts below assume the chosen width of .css file has been renamed
to betel_datasummary.css but you can change it to the original if you prefer.
Enjoy,
Paul

@PaulMy, so the 700 in front of the php file was fine. We can ignore that.
I searched on how to determine what version of PHP my site is running. v7.0.33 according to this...
https://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk/version.php
If Terry's site isn't loading the data and is running PHP v8 that could be the reason. Is that version forced on users or can he revert to v7? A help desk call should clarify that.

i see this when going to that url and looking at inspect.
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
favicon.ico:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
700betel_datasummary.css:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
so where is the "700betel_datasummary.css" file?

The source should be edited to remove the 700 as CSS file supplied by beteljuice at the time was "betel_datasummary.css" and saved back to the server.
