Wind Speed Updating Error

Good Afternoon.
Ive searched the forums and may have missed the answer to my question.

My windspeed is not updating on the cumuls wind speed display when the other data does.
If I unplug the usb and plug it back in it pulls the data for the ind speed down but this then will stay static for hours despite variations on my Maplin unit having varied.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have update dto the latest software but this has not fixed the issue.

It's the 'latest' figure on the main screen which isn't updating, yes?

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

Yes its the speed and direction thats not updating the data from the unit to the Pc,
Im being thick but where do i find the diags folder?

Found the folder and attached 5 files as i dont have a zipped on this PC

For future reference - all versions of Windows from XP onwards have zipping built in - see the instructions in the post linked to near the top of the forum "Please click here before posting...".

You've set a 'spike removal' value for wind speed and gust of 0.1 m/s, so Cumulus is ignoring all of the wind data after the first reading:

29/01/2014 14:16:32.014 : Wind or gust difference greater than specified; reading ignored
29/01/2014 14:16:32.014 : Gust: Old value = 6.1 New value = 4.8 EWgustdiff = 0.1
29/01/2014 14:16:32.014 : Wind: Old value = 4.1 New value = 2.7 EWwinddiff = 0.1

You need to set the value higher, a change of 0.1 m/s is not a spike, it's the smallest possible change. You've done the same for temperature and humidity; those also need changing.

Yes, I think that happens when you get rid of the spike removal settings which are set at a particular value. Maybe it's a bug.

If by 'get rid of' you mean 'clear the input field', then yes, it will get set to 0.1 as that is the minimum value the field will accept, and clearing the field is equivalent to supplying zero. It's the way the edit control works - if you enter a value less than the minimum, you get the minimum, and if you enter a value greater than the maximum, you get the maximum. I can see how the result of clearing the field might not be what you expect, though. I'll add a note to the help.
