Hi Paul.

It can be a little tricky to see up a website if you're a novice. As Steve suggested, follow the instructions from the help files/wiki closely.

Could you please tell us the address of the website?
Also post up a picture of the Cumulus configuration - Internet - Files tab . This is where you set how Cumulus processes and uploads the files it creates from the Template files to your website.

Cheers Bob.

If your site isn't visible from the internet, perhaps you could show a screen shot of the index.htm page as you see it in your browser? It looks to me like you have everything set up correctly.

Attached is the entire website. Note that I have a folder below the home page for the weather from this house (I call it WFhouse) in anticipation of adding a second location in the future. I'm showing the contents of the "WFhouse" folder.
thanks, you guys are great help.

We're both newbies and I made the same mistake not too long ago myself.
I'm having a blast with Cumulus and finally learning how to customize my own web page.
Just repaired a 22" wide screen LCD and hung it on the wall of my shop for use as a weather dashboard. Now instead of walking across the room to squint at the Vantage Pro console, I can clearly see large fonts displaying just the weather data I'm interested in seeing.

Now I would like to have the wind speed in really real time on the dashboard since the Davis console is hard to see from a distance. But that is a question for another forum post.

Have fun!!

Hi Randy,
Yea, the key is that I just didn't know that index.htm needs to be added to the end of the website url. Dealing with website details is new to me, learning every day. And the non-newbies are laughing their buts off about now, I understand :)

Usually it is not necessary to include the index.xxx in the URL.
As Steve wrote earlier:-
If a browser requests a directory (including the 'root') rather than asking for a specific page, the web server has to work out which page to send. The web server is normally configured with a list of page names which it works through until it finds one to send - index.html, index.php, index.htm etc. Your web server presumably doesn't have index.htm in its list.
So this is a part of the webserver configuration. Depending on the set up and your access you may be able to add this yourself or you could ask the techs at the hosting service to set this up for you. You might also ask them to configure it so it works without the http:// as well.
