I've been looking all over the internet about how to calibrate the anemometer in case this is the problem. But, I can't find anything. I've looked through the Davis Vantage Vue Console manual. Nothing.

oh dear... I looks like your barometer is a couple of hPa out compared to your neighboring weather stations too.

You have fallen into a statistical trap.
Your equipment has an accuracy of +/- 2 MPH.
If indeed the gust was 32 MPH (and you do not really know that) then any recorded speed between 30 and 34 MPH is a valid record regardless of the software used.

I know I'll regret this but...
You said you recorded a gust of 32 mph (how you know this you do not specify), the console showed a peak of 31 mph, WL recorded 32 mph, Cumulus recorded 32 mph. Therefore the only problem I can see is the console did not display the 32 mph value at any point - a Davis problem and nothing to do with Cumulus.

No, Cumulus recorded 31 mph in the wind gust and the Davis Vantage Vue Console recorded 32 mph in the wind gust. I saw this by watching the Davis Vantage Vue Console throughout the wind gust and never did I see 32 mph. So, Cumulus was correct if it was recording the 2.5 second updates. It's just confusing how the Davis Vantage Vue Console records a 1 mph higher wind gust, sometimes.

But the log you attached showed it detected a 32 mph gust! It may not show for up to minute as that is how often Cumulus checks for a new peak gust value it has missed, but it did record it.

All I saw was 31 mph and that was looking throughout the wind gust at the Davis Vantage Vue Console and never did I see 32 mph which has happened many times

Very strange. All I saw on the wind gauge was 31 mph. Bizarre.

Interestingly, Cumulus is now reading the wind gusts either 1 mph higher or the same as the Davis Vantage Vue Console. But, after looking at the Davis Vantage Vue Console 10 minute wind gusts carefully, they change a lot.

That may well be the case, but Cumulus 'catches up' with any gusts it has missed every minute, so they will show on the various records - Today's maximum wind gust etc.
