Logging interval

Post by figgis »

Hi

I am going away for 6 weeks my Davis Weatherlink software allows me to set the logging interval to maximum of 2 hours but Cumulus max is 30 minutes I will need to set the interval to 1 hour to cover the time I am away. Is there away to get Cumulus interval to 1 hour?

Thanks

There's no way to set Cumulus to more than 30 minutes. It's not actually essential to set Cumulus to the same interval as the station, it means it may get the entire contents of the logger when it starts up, but that's not much more than an inconvenience, and you will have a lot of entries to download anyway.

A logger interval of 30 minutes would give you cover for over 7 weeks, by the way.

Don't forget that setting the station logger interval clears the memory, so make sure Cumulus has all the data it needs before you do it. So when you're ready to change the interval, close Cumulus, then immediately run Weatherlink to set the station interval.
