Whacko rain gauge

Post by Grumpy Moose »

So apparently my reed switch in the Rain Bucket got stuck the other day, and recorded something like 25" of rain before I could get home and unplug it from the ISS! I have a spare reed switch I can swap out, but of course all of my rain totals and records are messed up now. Does anyone know all of the fields I need to go and reset for all of the various records, and which files to look in? Fortunately, I had just backed up my entire Cumulus directory a couple of days prior to do a reinstall and fix the Twitter issue! So I have all of the current, correct data (+/- a couple tenths of an inch). I just need to know which ones to look for.

On a similar note, does anyone know of a way to reset the season rain total on the VP2 Console?

Thanks!

Derek

There's some information in the FAQ about correcting rain totals: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_sta ... _figure.29 and more information in the wiki, linked to from the FAQ, in the descriptions of the data logs.

An easy way to correct all-time (etc) records is just to use a backup of the relevant .ini files.

Thanks Steve! I should have known this would already be covered. However, I'm sure you've noticed my search skills (and patience) are sometimes lacking!
