Cumulus Support

I have the latest build and version installed and since the 14th i have not been able to update direct to twitter.

Anybody else have this issue?

Turn on the debug log, and then look in the diags file (sic) after an update should have happened, to see what Twitter had to say.

sorted now, for some reason the cumulus config file had corrupted during the update to build 1087,

The config file had multiple entries for twitter settings.

i use this discussion because i've the same problem.

Cumulus not post more on twitter.
I tried to update to the new version but no result, I deleted the two lines OauthToken but nothing, I tried to turn it off for 24 hours but nothing.

I enabled debugging and error it gives me is the following:
HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized

The credentials are correct because I use it daily

Any ides?

Make sure you haven't somehow got two [Twitter] sections in cumulus.ini, as above; although I have no idea how that could happen.

Make sure your PC clock is correct.

Try unauthorising and reauthorising Cumulus in your Twitter account.

The time and date are correct, they are sync winth windows world clock.

In comulusi.ini i've check but there is only one section about twitter and the paramteters seems to be correct.

I'm not sure, I've never had to do it. To revoke access, go into your accounts settings and select 'apps'. Click the 'revoke access' button for Cumulus. I'm not sure what happens next, you may need to delete the tokens again from cumulus.ini (with Cumulus stopped) and then allow Cumulus to update Twitter again. I don't know whether you will then need to go to your account to allow Cumulus again.

Is Twitter giving the 403 error when Cumulus is trying to get the tokens, or has it got the tokens and is trying to update? Sometimes it seems to take a couple of attempts after getting the tokens before it allows updates again. Twitter is a complete pain.

I've revoke access, stop cumulus, edit cumulus.ini adn delete the two rows of outh, restart cumuls and wait

At the momente on my twitter profiles in app menu ther is'nt any voice about cumulus....wait

Now i've have the new autorized access on twitter while in cumulus.ini i see this on twitter sedtion

OauthToken=unknown
OauthTokenSecret=unknown

Now in cumuls.ini the Outh in twitter section are correct:


But post on twitter none...wait again

If you've re-authorised it on Twitter, hopefully next time it tries to update, it will first get the new tokens. The first update after that may still fail.

It's probably not a good idea to post your tokens, particularly the one marked 'secret' I've edited your post to remove them.

Ok, all seems to be fine....as configuration, but on twitter nothig post...Ii try the last fix....i delete and recreate the twitter.txt

Perhaps there is a problem with the characters in your twitter.txt file. When did it stop working? Does it work if you delete the twitter.txt file and use the standard message?
